DOUBLE GOLD for CSPD alumni!🥇🥇🤩 CSPD and everyone throughout the Parramatta Diocese is incredibly proud of our former students Tim Hodges and Jenna Jones for their gold medal performances at the Commonwealth Games.🪙💫 Hodges, who went to Patrician Brothers' College, Blacktown and St Bernadette's Lalor Park, had the honour of being the King's Baton Bearer for the Australian team and went on to win gold in the Men’s 100m Backstroke S9 while Jones, a former St Columba's Catholic College, Springwood and St Thomas Aquinas Primary School Springwood student, won the 100m Women's Freestyle S13 final.🏊♂️💦 And how about this! Layla Sharp, who graduated from Emmaus Catholic College Kemps Creek last year, is already an elite sprinter and middle distance runner and only took up long jump in October last year. Not only did she break the T38 Australian record, she qualified for the Australian team and will compete in the long jump event on Saturday morning (Aus time). 🎽✨ Best of luck to all the Aussie athletes. Australia is very proud of you.💛💚💛💚

🎓✨ EXPLORING FUTURE PATHWAYS What's next after school? 🤔 Year 10 and 11 students from Delany College Granville recently visited Granville TAFE to discover the many study, training and career pathways available after graduation. From Construction and Business to Beauty, Barbering and Hairdressing, students explored a range of industries, met with Head Teachers and gained valuable insights to help shape their future goals. Experiences like these give students the confidence to explore their interests, discover new possibilities and make informed decisions about their next steps. A big thank you to the team at Granville TAFE for such an engaging and inspiring day! 👏✨ #cspd2026 #catholicschoolsparramattadiocese #parracatholic #westernsydney #futurepathways

🐶 LEARNING TO BE RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERS ✨ Kindergarten to Year 2 students from St Matthew's Catholic Primary, Windsor took part in the Responsible Pet Program, learning how to interact safely and responsibly with dogs. Through interactive sessions filled with singing, role playing and dancing, students discovered how to recognise safe behaviours around dogs, read a dog’s body language and make positive choices when meeting or spending time with pets. It was wonderful to see students so engaged in their learning while building important life skills that help keep both children and animals safe! 🐾💙
