Sacred Heart is proud to be part of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese's system of 80 Catholic primary and secondary schools operating across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains providing more than 43,500 students with a high-quality, low fee Catholic education.

Our crest beautifully captures the heart of who we are as a Catholic learning community. Every element has been thoughtfully designed to reflect our charism of "Open Hearts, Open Minds" - a commitment to faith, learning, compassion and belonging.

Our history

We are part of the Westmead Catholic Community and the exciting developments taking place to enhance Catholic education in Westmead.

The new Sacred Heart Primary Westmead has been designed to to meet the needs of the expanding Westmead community. Our new school brings together Sacred Heart Primary (Ralph Street) and Mother Teresa Primary Westmead onto one campus shared with the parish, Parramatta Marist High and Catherine McAuley Westmead students.

Across the campus our families and staff will benefit from greater opportunities to create impactful, future-focused change - where every member can flourish, walk together, and grow in the way of Christ.

In Term 3, 2026, the first steps towards the amalgamation of Mother Teresa Primary Westmead and Sacred Heart Primary Westmead were taken. Both school communities moved into the new state-of-the-art architect-designed building located on Darcy Road Westmead. Mother Teresa Primary took on the new name of Sacred Heart and the two communities commenced learning alongside one another.

In Term 1, 2027, the two communities will officially come together to become the new Sacred Heart Primary Westmead, a single, four stream Kindergarten to Year 6 primary school. We cannot wait to welcome your child to join our community and share in our bright future!
